Title race wide open as ’Noull put an end to Dokens’ fine run

-

KINNOULL’S 3-1 win away to previously-unbeaten Premier League North leaders North End has blown the title race wide open.

The win sees the Perth men in fourth place and now very much in contention.

Ben Regan scored Kinnoull’s first two goals in the first half.

Gary Sutherland pulled one back for the Dokens before a third from Mark Smith clinched the points for the visitors.

Third-placed Luncarty were shocked by visitors Forfar Albion taking the lead after 15 minutes through Fraser Sturrock.

However, their joy was short-lived as Kieran Donald quickly levelled for the Bleachers, who then eased to a 5-1 victory.

That was courtesy of goals from Richard Doig (2) and Fraser Mills while Donald completed his double.
