- BY EXTRA COVER

THE end of the cricket season is approaching and both the top and bot tom spots a re no where near secured.

The race for the title looks like going to the wire.

Leaders Forfarshire travel to Edinburgh to face Watsonians.

The Dundee side will see this as a tough game with the Edinburgh outfit hosting players like Mike Carson and Zach Place who can easily take the game away from the visitors with the bat.

Forfarshire will, however, be confident as they have been very good on their travels this season. Youngsters Rory Johnston, Callum Garden and Jack Hogarth were all in the runs and wickets this week in development cricket so will be hoping for more of the same tomorrow. Craig Wallace and Michael Leask will also be looking to propel them to a big total.

Scott Cameron and Brock Ditchmen will be the main men with the ball for Forfarshire. If the Dundee outfit get a win it will put them in good stead for the title.

Grange travel to play Stewart’s-Melville.

They will be confident of securing victory as they have been in great form in recent games.

Dylan Budge, Oli Hairs and George Munsey provide lots of firepower with the bat while John Blain and Jamie Cairns give them great value with the ball.

Arbroath are at home to Carlton. Fraser Burnett will be making his return to the Red Lichties, his former club.

Whian Lubbe will be a major part of whether or not the Lichties win. He has been crucial and has notched four tons already this season.

Craig Ramsay will be important with the ball.

Royal High Corstorphine host Stoneywood Dyce in what will be a tight fixture.

The visitors will be confident after their form in recent weeks.

Liam Lindsay will be key with the bat for the men from up north.

The home side will be confident as well with Majid Haq and professional Mohammed Saad key men for them.

Aberdeenshire travel to face Heriot’s at Goldenacre. The visitors have struggled in recent weeks and the Edinburgh side should be too strong.

Hayes Van Der Berg and Pete Ross provide their strength with the bat while Ryan Brown and Elliot Ruthven do it with the ball.
