Signing spree at Dens – 10 of the best for Dundee?
RANGERS youth star Josh McPake made it 10 new faces in the door at Dens Park this summer – but are they 10 of the best?
After the extreme disappointment of last season and the relegation that followed it, a clear-out of course came with no less than 18 first-team players heading out the exit door.
New manager James McPake came in and immediately set about building his squad to return to the top flight at the first time of asking.
So far, he’s got 10 in – how have they fared so far at Dens?
Declan McDaid
The winger was the first new boy in at the club this summer after leaving Ayr United.

Verdict: Hit.

Great passing ability and the experience to control games, Ness will be vital this season – if he stays fit.
Verdict: Hit.
Jordan Marshall
The Geordie left-back knows all about what it takes in the Championship after four years at Queen of the South.
Relentless work ethic and strong on the ball, Marshall added a fine assist for the winning goal against Ayr two weeks ago.
Verdict: Hit.
Jordon Forster
The no-nonsense defender began his Championship season with an error at Dunfermline that set the tone for a poor first half at East End Park.
Since then, however, he’s shown why former defender James McPake was keen to get him in the door.
His performance against target man Sam Cosgrove in the Betfred Cup clash with Aberdeen was impressive. More of that needed.
Verdict: Hit and miss.
Jordan McGhee
Versatile defender McGhee arrived from Falkirk with a glowing reference from former boss Ray McKinnon and has shown why in his
