Dokens add experience to backroom team

NORTH End play host to Luncarty and new manager Tony Mc Au l ay w i l l b e determined his side cut out the mistakes that cost them dearly at Thomson Park last week.

Luncarty showed what they are capable of with last week’s win at Broughty but the Dokens will have happy memories of an earlier meeting this season when they ran out 5-0 winners.

Luncarty are likely to be along very similar lines to face the Dokens.

McAulay, meanwhile, has appointed joint assistant managers Kenny MacDonald and Iain MacLeod.

MacDonald played for numerous clubs, including St Johnstone, Forfar and Airdrie, during a lengthy senior career, while former Dokens player MacLeod also had a senior stint at Montrose.

Bottom-of-the-table Forfar West End host Scone Thistle.

West End have placed four players on the transfer list – defender Gary Fotheringh­am, midfielder Zak Wilson and forwards Craig Batchelor and Scott Fullerton.

When the teams met at Scone earlier in the season, West End trounced their hosts 4-0 in what was Derek Lawson’s first game against his former club.

Thistle are again without their three long-term injuries victims Aaron Mackay, Martin Strachan and Lee Maloney.

IN the South Premier League, When they visit

Sauchie, second-placed Newburgh will be looking to improve on last week’s performanc­e when they only edged out winless West Calder by the odd goal in seven.

They will also be looking to avenge the defeat they suffered at Sauchie’s hands in the Fife & Lothian Cup fixture earlier this season.

Top scorer Scott Sutherland, who scored a hat-trick last week, extended his contract at ’Burgh until 2021.
