Stunned police stop transporter with unsecured car
A recovery truck driver has been fined for carrying a dangerous load after he was spotted transporting a car which was not tied down.
Police tweeted a picture of the truck which road policing officers stopped in West Lothian.
Officers said the winch had broken “and driver felt it was OK to transport a car in this position and without it being tied down”.
The driver was fined for having a dangerous load.
Police officers said the motorist in question was not allowed to drive until the car had been removed.
The incident happened on Monday evening near Whitburn.
