PALMERSTON HEARTBREAK AFTER OG

I WAS actually a bit presumptuous about Queen of the South’s upcoming relegation last week – I’d written before they went and beat Inverness.

Now, though, a late own goal against Ayr United has condemned us to the drop. Heartbreaking.

Especially against a side like Ayr, who are not very good.

My fear now is we’ll be stuck in League One for a while – Falkirk have been and they have a bigger budget than us.

Then there’s Queen’s Park, Airdrie and Kelty coming up. It’s a tough league and I am not confident about our chances.
