No matter what, Utd must keep believing

-

TANNADICE seems to attract title parties, certainly over the past couple of decades anyway.

It’s not much fun, though, to be the home side in these situations.

But that’s where Dundee United find themselves.

What they can’t afford to do for the sake of their own fans is be bystanders as Celtic celebrate.

I don’t expect the Tangerines to stop the Hoops getting over the line tonight.

The Old Firm are miles ahead of the rest of the league at this moment and Celtic are unbeaten in 30 matches or so.

But there is still a huge prize on offer for Tam Courts and his men.

Fourth place would be a serious achievement.

Remember United have only been back in the Premiership for two seasons now, they have made superb progress in that short space of time.

So they need to come out of tonight’s match against Celtic with someone to grasp.

Something to keep the confidence up ahead of their huge trip to Ross County.

The prize of European football next season is within their grasp, just one result will do it for them.

Even coming out of tonight’s clash with a bit of credit for a positive performance will be enough to have the big away support heading north believing their side will do it. That’s United’s job tonight, keep the faith going.
