Nice to read about good news

-

WHEN it comes to the antics of kids today there is no shortage of bad press.

So when local children do something remarkable and worthwhile, it is worth highlighting – and reminding ourselves that the poor behaviour is the exception and not the rule.

Take the case of youngsters at St Ninian’s Primary.

They were so enthused by a recent lesson they were inspired to write a book (see pages 4&5).

Not only that, they then decided all proceeds from the sale of their tome should go to Tayside Children’s Hospital.

Today we hear from some of the young people behind the book – and it is impossible not to be swept along on the tide of their enthusiasm.

It really is a case of good outcomes all round – great for the kids and their learning and great for the local community too, thanks to the fundraising element.

Well done to all involved. Don’t forget to buy a copy!
