Queen all smiles as pony takes honours

-

THE Queen looked relaxed as her pony was named supreme champion after she joined crowds at an equestrian show.

Looking happy, the head of state sat in a vehicle and watched entrants in the parade ring as she chatted to Royal Windsor Horse Show officials and staff through the open passenger window.

The 96-year-old had missed the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday on the advice of royal doctors due to her continued mobility problems.

She saw her Highland Pony, Balmoral Leia, named supreme champion.
