Edwards comes to the four for Ross County as they reshape squad
ROSS County have bolstered their squad with another new signing – with more set to follow.
Owura Edwards has become Ross County’s fourth new arrival of the summer after joining the club on a season-long loan from Bristol City.
The 21-year-old winger has travelled with his new team-mates to Italy for the week-long training camp and County boss Malky Mackay is delighted.
He said: “Owura is a player that our recruitment department spent a significant amount of time tracking and during that process it was very clear that he is someone that would be a great addition to our group.
“At 21, he has gone out and proven himself across the EFL levels, really learning about the rigours of men’s football and that is great credit to him.
“Prior to us coming to Italy, Owura came up to Dingwall to meet with us and both parties are excited about his move to the Scottish Premiership and the part he can play for Ross County.”
Ross County are also working on a deal to bring former Kilmarnock goalkeeper Jake Eastwood back to Scotland.
The 25-year-old has reportedly joined the Staggies squad for the preseason training in Verona.
Mackay is looking to bring a new goalkeeper on board after Ash MaynardBrewer returned to Charlton at the end of his loan spell last season.
Eastwood, 25, had a spell on loan with English League Two side Rochdale last season.
Meanwhile, highly rated Southampton youngster Kazeem Olaigbe could be set to join County on loan.
The 19-year-old Belgian signed a new deal with the Saints until June 2024 earlier this year.
According to the Southampton-based Daily Echo, he is set to move to County on a season-long loan deal with an option to be recalled in January.
