Dundee Gin Company toasts new look
GIN enthusiasts and friends of Dundee Gin Company gathered at a launch event at Inverarse Hotel in the city on Friday night to toast the brand’s new look.
As well as revealing its new brand, managing director, David Bruce, who took on the position just 10 months ago, also unveiled a series of products which will be hitting shelves soon.
Looking to take inspiration from the city where the gin is produced, he considered many iconic Dundee landmarks such as the Law and The Discovery when exploring options for the new brand.
In the end it was the city’s iconic coat of arms that was selected.
In another step to strengthen the company’s ties with the city, the business has recently signed a new partnership agreement with Dundee University Botanical Gardens.
This year the gardens turned 50 and to celebrate the company has created a gin in partnership with the university, with the labels being designed by Duncan of Jordanstone art students.
With the ability to grow exotic botanicals such as ylang ylang and strawberry guava, this has enabled the company to use different ingredients.
