Entertaining clash in store at the Canniepairt
TAYPORT and Kirrie Thistle should provide an entertaining league contest at the Canniepairt.
Kirrie won 2-1 the last time they were in Tayport and the Fifers will be up against Bryan Duell, one of their former players, who will be out to put one over his old team.
The Fifers will be without Jamie Hume through suspension, while Kirrie will be on the usual lines.
The bottom two clubs, Scone Thistle and Brechin Vics, meet at
Farquharson Park and the hosts will be hoping the appointment of the vastly experienced Charlie King as their new manager will give them a boost. They will, however, be without Callum Black and Ross Loudon through suspension.
Brechin will look to build on last week’s big win against Forfar WE and welcome back Mitchell Smith from suspension, but Kieran Longmuir and Corey Hill miss out through injuries.
Arbroath Vics return to action at Coupar Angus. Foxhall Park was a happy hunting ground for Vics the last time they met there, with the Ogilvy Park side going away with a 5-2 victory.
Vics will be without the suspended Connor Gray and Matt Keogh, but Robbie Ferries, Morgan Smith and Jack Gribben should return.
Letham and Blairgowrie have arranged to play in Perth tonight and Blair manager Mark Brash acknowledges Letham are having a good season and will be difficult to beat.
Brash expects to list 16 players including two trialists, but is without suspended Blair Geddes.
Letham have a selection headache with Stuart Nicol, Shaun Simpson and Adam Storrar all out through suspension and Paul McConnachie is still recovering from an injury.
