Evening Telegraph (Late Extra Edition) - - FRONT PAGE -

LOGANAIR has renamed one of its aircraft after the City of Discovery at a ceremony attended by Lynne Short, convener of the city development committee.

The Saab 340 aircraft, which operates the six-day-per-week Dundee to London Stansted airlink, was christened at Dundee Airport.

It has Spirit of Dundee marked on one side of its nose and the Gaelic translation “Spiorad de Dhun De” on the other.

Attending alongside Lynne Short was airport manager, Derrick Lang, left, and Maurice Boyle, Loganair’s director of operations.

Loganair operates two return services to London Stansted each weekday and one on Sunday.

Maurice Boyle said: “Loganair has been a long-time supporter of Dundee Airport and we are extremely pleased to unveil our newly named aircraft.”
