Road Bridge closed as winds reach 82.4mph
GALE-FORCE winds have placed the Tay Road Bridge off limits to all traffic today.
“The storm was already at force four in Dundee at 7am with gusts of up to 60mph.
“The Tay Road Bridge was open to cars and single decker buses only by 8am, travelling at 30mph.”
A spokesman for Scotrail said there had been no disruption to train services on the East Coast line.
Dundee Airport manager Derrick Laing confirmed there had been no disruptions to flights, with the 9.10am Loganair flight out of Stansted to Dundee leaving on time.
The strength of the storm was gathering as morning commuters made their way to work.
