AFTER stopping in for a late-night snack on the way home, I spied them taking somebody’s pizza out of the oven and immediately regretted ordering my usual chicken pakora.
Not that there was anything wrong with the pakora – it’s the best I’ve had in a takeaway in Dundee – but because the pizza looked seriously good.
Next lazy night I thought “right, pizza is happening”and went for the 12-inch Curry House traditional pizza (£7.50) – that comes with spicy chicken, spicy mince, onions, green peppers, green chilli, coriander and tomatoes all over it. It tasted as good as it looked, though I probably won’t order one with so many green chillis on it again, but that’s just me. It had a nice kick and did my lunch the day after, too.
On the side, adding to my meal as well as the calorie count, I munched down some chips and cheese as well (£3).
And, because I’m sometimes nice I bought the other half a wee snack for when she got home – chips (£1.50) and vegetable pakora (£3) which hit the spot, too.
Definite thumbs up for the Curry
House – and it won’t be long before I’m working mywaythrough their entire pizza menu.
