Man, 29, to stand trial over as­sault claim

SEAN Cus­sick, 29, a pris­oner at Perth, will stand trial on Fe­bru­ary 2.

Cus­sick de­nies as­sault­ing his part­ner, Deb­o­rah Brown, by re­peat­edly hit­ting her on the head, pulling her hair, seiz­ing her head, plac­ing his fingers in­side her mouth, caus­ing her to choke, scratch­ing the in­side of her mouth, plac­ing his hands around her neck and stran­gling her, and bend­ing her fingers back­wards, all to her in­jury, on Cor­bie Wood, on Sep­tem­ber 15 last year.

He also de­nies ag­gres­sive be­hav­iour by re­peat­edly shout­ing and swear­ing at PS Gareth Irons and mak­ing ho­mo­pho­bic re­marks to­wards him.

And he de­nies re­sist­ing two po­lice of­fi­cers by re­fus­ing to pro­vide a

DNA sam­ple.
