City show takes new look at Burns
A GLASGOW artist is using an exhibition to shed new light on Robert Burns’ life.
Graham Fagen will tell the tale of the poet’s attempts to travel to Jamaica in 1786, when he wanted to work on a sugar plantation.
The exhibition, called Downpresserer after a song by Jamaican musician Peter Tosh, is at the Gallery of Modern Art from March 15 to May 28.
