School pain for Aasmah

BROADCASTER Aasmah Mir has spoken of reaching her “lowest point” when she was bullied at school.

The Radio 4 presenter attended Bearsden Academy but Aasmah said that even just driving past the site of her old school brought back painful memories.

Writing on social media, she said: “The school may no longer be there but it’s still chilling driving past the former site of Bearsden Academy. Bad bad memories, sadly.

“About once a year I like to go to the place that signifies my lowest point and feel very grateful about how things turned out.”
