Drugs are new threat

MA­JOR cities have al­ways had their fair share of vi­o­lent crime (Evening Times, No­vem­ber 9). Glas­gow in the 60s,70s and 80s was awash with slash­ings and stab­bings – the dif­fer­ence now is it’s usu­ally drug re­lated, which, if one has a choice, is slightly bet­ter than ran­dom knife crime.
