City joins in call backing People’s Vote

A CO-ORDINATED campaign for a ‘Peoples’ Vote’ on Brexit will take place across Scotland this weekend, with Glasgow one of the cities taking part.

Thousands of supporters will speak out against the latest Brexit deal ahead of the vote in the House of Commons on Tuesday.

The campaign in Scotland is part of a ‘Day of Action’ across the entire UK, organised by the Peoples’ Vote coalition. They will be asking people to contact their local MPs to urge them to give the public a choice to vote.

‘People’s Vote’ campaigner Mark Lazarowicz said: “The Brexit deal negotiated by the government is bad for Scotland and bad for the UK as a whole.

“Our campaigning this weekend will emphasise to MPs across Scotland, from all parties, that there is growing support for a Peoples’ Vote with an option to remain.”
