Landlord granted HMO extension despite noise complaints

-

COUNCILLORS have renewed an HMO for an Anderston flat despite multiple noise complaints and water leakage.

The first issue owners of the flat at 7 Corunna Street faced came following complaints of water ingress in the bathroom which affected the flat below in August 2015.

In October 2016 the downstairs neighbour made a second complaint over noise from the flat above.

In February 2017 tensions rose again when water leaked from the bathroom for the second time. The issue was resolved when a new shower unit was installed.

Another noise complaint was logged in August 2017, but the new tenants had not fully moved in at the time.

The final issue was raised in September this year when water escaped from the new washing machine to the flat below because it had not been connected properly.

Members of the licensing and regulatory committee continued the HMO for another three years.
