CRAIG SIBBALD has been watching and learning as he bides his time for a place in Livingston’s starting line-up.

The former Falkirk midfielder needed a hernia operation soon after joining the Ladbrokes Premiership newcomers and has been restricted to two starts for his new club.

But Sibbald earned praise from manager Gary Holt after coming on in the 38th minute of Livingston’s 2-0 defeat by Kilmarnock on Wednesday and is in contention to start at home to St Mirren today.

“It started off with an injury but the boys have been doing really well so it’s been a struggle to get in the starting XI,” he said. “It’s all about watching and learning because this is obviously a new team for me. You have to take in as much as possible.”
