Golf day in honour of tragic Paige

-

A CHARITY set up in honour of tragic teenager Paige Doherty is hosting a golf day next year.

Paige’s Promise first ever charity golf day will take place on Sunday, May 5 at Balmore Golf Club.

The event will run from 11am to 3.30pm and cost £50 per head. A £10 deposit is required to secure a tee time.

There will also be a two-course meal after the event and a raffle.

Paige’s Promise was set up after the 15-yearold was murdered by John Leathem two years ago.

The teenager’s body was discovered on March 21, 2016, in a wooded area just off Great Western Road – 48 hours after she first went missing.

Leathem, 34, was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow to life with a minimum term of 27 years that October after pleading guilty to her murder.
