Woman’s charity charm offensive

A GLASGOW woman attempted to “charm the pants off” Chris Evans in an attempt to get the radio and TV star to part with some items for charity.

The Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Scottish fundraiser Lyn McNicol was raising funds to help children with special needs relate to music.

She and her colleagues held an auction in Glasgow with items from various celebrities, and Lyn wanted Chris Evans to get in on the act.

She was that persistent that she faxed, phoned, emailed and even visited the star’s TFI Friday show to blag her way into meeting Mr Evans.

Among the goodies on offer were T-shirts signed by Rolling Stones stars, a Les Paul guitar worth £500, and an MTV goodie bag.
