Rossiter reckons Light Blues can make amends in Austria

JORDAN Rossiter has backed Rangers to bounce back from their double Premiership disappointment and clinch a Europa League knockout berth on Thursday.

Steven Gerrard’s side head to Rapid Vienna knowing a win would see them progress from a Group G section that also includes Villarreal and Spartak Moscow.

The Gers will make the trip on the back of two domestic blows after losing to Aberdeen and drawing with Dundee.

Rossiter came back into the side for the 1-1 draw at Dens Park but won’t be part of the squad that heads to Austria on Wednesday morning.

“I think the lads have got a massive Europa League game,” he said. “If we go and win that, it is not forgotten about, but it is definitely a step in the right direction.”
