Cheers all round at unveiling of new £1m visitor centre

-

GLASGOW’S glitterati said cheers to the opening of a new tourist attraction in Glasgow’s East End.

For Tennent’s unveiled their new visitors centre at the Wellpark Brewery on Duke Street.

The new attraction will provide the story behind 450 years of brewing tradition and award winning beers.

Brewery bosses believe the new centre will become a popular destination for beer lovers and tourism leaders hope it will help Glasgow meet its goal of attracting one million extra visitors a year by 2023.

The venue cost a £1million to create, and features tasting, new and old artwork as well as Tennent’s artefacts, including a 150-year-old bottle of stout brewed in Wellpark.
