-

CELTIC missed a deadline to unveil plans for a new stadium in Cambuslang.

Chairman Kevin Kelly promised an announcement by the end of the week.

But Celtic still had no news to calm the growing anger of their support.

Meanwhile, the club denied rumours that city businessmen were bidding into buy the club.

There was growing speculation that Gerald Weisfield, the former owner of What Everyone Wants group, might have made a move.

The name of William Haughey, a director of the firm in Rutherglen, had also been mentioned.
