Appeal after hit and run

-

A PENSIONER needed a hip operation and a blood transfusion after a hit and run accident involving a private hire car.

And his family pleaded for help in catching the culprit.

Pat Hay, 68, was left lying in the road after he was hit by the car, moments after stepping off a bus.

The driver stopped initially but then took off, saying he had a passenger in the back.

Speaking from his Castlemilk home after weeks in hospital, the great-grandfather appealed for help in finding the driver. Mr Hay had got off a First Bus and was crossing Castlemilk Drive when he was hit by a private hire car.
