School pupils battle it out for building design
PUPILS from across Glasgow are putting their language skills to the test in a competition run by one of the city’s universities.
More than 250 S3 pupils at five west of Scotland schools are taking part in Espacios Increíbles, a challenge to design a building or space with Spanish inspiration.
Organised by the University of Strathclyde, the stimulus for the designs will be from the pictures on postcards sent by Strathclyde Architecture students studying on exchange in Chile and Bolivia.
The project involved teenagers from St Thomas Aquinas Secondary and St Margaret Mary’s Secondary.
The winning entry from each school will attend a final with their class at the University on April 24, with winners given the opportunity to create their design as a 3D model.
