Minor injuries unit to move
THE Minor Injuries Unit in the west of Glasgow was to close again after a temporary opening over the winter.
The unit at Yorkhill was to move to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital across the River Clyde.
The health board was criticised for announcing the closure the day before it was due to take effect. Sandra White, Kelvin SNP MSP, said she received a press release announcing the closure which she said “came as a surprise”.
She asked the First Minister to get in touch with the health board to find out where the West Glasgow MIU will be located and said: “It will be a surprise to my constituents, who took part in a consultation.”
