Novelist set for more city crime tales

Evening Times - - NEWS -

A CRIME novelist RJ Mitchell has signed a book deal for the fifth in the award nominated DS Thoroughgood crime series based on his experiences as a Glasgow cop.

The former Evening Times sports reporter has penned a deal with MJ Publishing for follow up, The Blood Acre to popular novel The Shift.

Mitchell set a WHSmith Scottish tour record with a staggering 1388 sales on his ‘The Shadow of Fear' tour in 2018.

He will again travel to Glasgow later this year as part of a 30-date tour in Scotland.

He said: “As usual the action will be mainly centred in Glasgow and draw from my experiences as a cop but this time we will also be heading south.

“Naturally Thoroughgood's love life will be a rollercoaster of rejection and rekindling of old flames and that doesn't even scrape the surface.”
