Funding boost for homeless charity

Evening Times - - NEWS -

A GLASGOW charity dedicated to providing care and support to homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people has been given a financial boost from a community funding programme.

Lodging House Mission (LHM) has been awarded funding from property management company Ross and Liddell through its annual community bursary scheme.

The funding will contribute towards buying essentials that LHP is in desperate need of – this includes men's underwear, gloves, razors, shaving foam and shampoo.

Gus Smeaton, director of Lodging House Mission, said: "To continue to operate we rely on charity donations and goodwill from those in the community which is why gestures like this are so important.

"The best we can do is look after those in need and that is our purpose."
