Glasgow community funding boost
A FUNDING boost has allowed community spaces in Glasgow continue their great work.
The Co-op’s Local Community Fund has generated more than £100,000 in just over two years.
Callander Youth Project Trust, Cuppa Time (Strathblane Parish Church of Scotland) & Friends of Stonehouse Park (FOSP) have been the recipient of cash.
Co-op members, receive a five per cent reward for themselves with a further one per cent going to local causes when they buy own-brand products. Members can decide how the money is allocated, and are encouraged to select the causes they wish to support online.
Rebecca Birkbeck, Director of Community Engagement at the Co-op, said: “Our members are passionate about protecting community spaces.”
