Pair hid nee­dles in ce­real

TWO gym bud­dies hid nee­dles and sy­ringes in gar­lic bread and Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions in Sains­bury’s in a dan­ger­ous prank­ing spree.

Bradley Scott, 30, and Matthew Keam, 24, con­cealed the sharp ob­jects at the store over a five month pe­riod, Kent Po­lice said.

Their ac­tions risked “se­ri­ous in­jury” and de­spite their “gen­uine re­morse” fol­low­ing their ap­pre­hen­sion the pair were jailed for a year af­ter plead­ing guilty.

Among the items pierced by the pair were gar­lic bread, a bot­tle of or­ange juice, a ce­real box and even Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions.
