Thousands raised for cancer charity
MORE than 450 people turned out to support Beatson Cancer Charity at their fifth annual ball helping to raise £46,654 for people facing cancer.
The leading cancer charity welcomed guests to the Hilton Glasgow for its glamorous Beatson Ball promising a night of good food, entertainment and prizes.
BBC Scotland’s Bryan Burnett was the host for the fourth year running, keeping everyone entertained and making sure the evening stayed on track.
Martin Cawley, Beatson Cancer Charity chief executive, said: “The Beatson Ball is a real highlight in the charity’s calendar and it was a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to meet so many of our supporters.
“The amount raised on the night is nothing short of incredible and I would like to say thank you to each person who made that happen.”
