City doctor joins our line-up of columnists
THE Evening Times welcomes another new columnist to the newspaper today – city doctor Punam Krishan.
The 36-year-old, who works as a GP in the East End, will be sharing her opinion and giving her medical expertise every Friday.
Dr Krishan might be recognisable to some of our readers thanks to her role in the recent BBC series Laid Bare.
The series featured two volunteers being put through their paces to find out their crucial health “achilles” heel.
In the show, Dr Krishan revealed the damage that they are doing to themselves – now and in the future.
The mum-of-one, who has a son Aarish, 6, and is a former pupil of Notre Dame High School, has become known for taking her patients on “Lidl walks” to share tips on what foods to avoid and how to make healthier choices.
Dr Krisham, who is popular on social media, is currently writing a children’s health book and also hopes to pen a memoir about her experiences working as a GP.
You can follow Dr Punam Krishan on Twitter and Instagram at @DrPunamKrishan and turn to page 13 to read her first column.
