Car in house crash had been chased by police
A CAR that crashed into a home and caught fire had been involved in a police chase, it has been confirmed.
Three men, aged 22, 32, and 36, were seriously injured in the crash on the A857 in Lewis, Outer Hebrides, on Saturday morning.
A 61-year-old woman in the house was safely removed by police.
The police watchdog has confirmed it will now look into the incident.
The blue Vauxhall Zafira hit the home near the junction with the A858, known as Barvas Corner, around 1.30am on Saturday.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
