Charity’s Christmas fundraiser
A CHARITY that provides a lifeline for older people in Glasgow facing loneliness hosted its annual Christmas party and raised hundreds for more support services.
Almost 400 people attended the Glasgow’s Golden Generation event which was held at the Mariott hotel.
Volunteers, befrienders and family and friends of clubgoers also attended the celebration which raised more than £1000.
The charity provides day centres and a range of other support services for older people including financial advice.
It is supporting a campaign by the Glasgow Times to raise awareness about the impact of dementia on families.
