Starliner runs into trouble
BOEING’S new Starliner capsule ran into trouble and went off course minutes after blasting off on its first test flight ahead of next year’s inaugural launch with astronauts.
Nasa’s chief said in a tweet that the capsule burned up more fuel than planned. This put the rest of the flight in jeopardy.
Carrying holiday gifts for the six International Space Station residents, the Starliner was supposed to reach the station today and stay for a week. The capsule is still in space and will be brought back to Earth, landing in New Mexico as early as tomorrow.
