£270 helps Xmas treat

GEN­ER­OUS po­lice of­fi­cers and school staff helped hun­dreds of peo­ple en­joy a three-course Christ­mas din­ner at a Glas­gow church.

Of­fi­cers from the city’s North East­ern Di­vi­sion and staff of East­bank Academy do­nated £270 to­wards the event.

The cash was handed over by Con­sta­ble John Bell to the Jodie and Tay­lor Muir Memo­rial Trust, which ran the event at Park­head Con­gre­ga­tional Church. All those who at­tended yes­ter­day also re­ceived a gift.

Con­sta­ble Bell said: “The Trust does a great job in help­ing peo­ple in the area and of­fi­cers and school staff were happy to make a con­tri­bu­tion.”
