£270 helps Xmas treat
GENEROUS police officers and school staff helped hundreds of people enjoy a three-course Christmas dinner at a Glasgow church.
Officers from the city’s North Eastern Division and staff of Eastbank Academy donated £270 towards the event.
The cash was handed over by Constable John Bell to the Jodie and Taylor Muir Memorial Trust, which ran the event at Parkhead Congregational Church. All those who attended yesterday also received a gift.
Constable Bell said: “The Trust does a great job in helping people in the area and officers and school staff were happy to make a contribution.”
