FIVE YEARS PAST

Evening Times - - NEWS -

A HERO nurse just back from treating victims in Sierra Leone’s ‘death zone’ was diagnosed with Ebola.

The NHS frontline healthcare worker, the first confirmed case in the UK, was being treated at Glasgow’s specialist Brownlee Unit for Infectious Diseases on the Gartnavel Hospital campus.

She was a volunteer for Save the Children who confirmed she had been working at its Ebola hospital in Kerry Town, near the capital Freetown.
