THE 66 vic­tims of the 1971 Ibrox Sta­dium Dis­as­ter have been re­mem­bered with a wreath-lay­ing cer­e­mony out­side the sta­dium.

John Greig joined club rep­re­sen­ta­tives at the dis­as­ter me­mo­rial plinth on Ed­mis­ton Drive to pay trib­ute to those who lost their lives 49 years ago to­day, af­ter a crush fol­low­ing a derby match against Celtic,

Rev Stu­art McQuar­rie car­ried out a short ser­vice prior to a minute’s si­lence.
