Capaldi’s ex set to appear on Love Island
ITV’s Love Island have confirmed that Scottish Paige Turley will be heading into the new South African villa for the first ever winter series.
Singer Paige, who works at Forty Clothing in Royal Exchange Square, was in a relationship with Lewis Capaldi a few years ago after they met at college in Motherwell. Their break up is thought to be inspiration for Capaldi’s hit Someone You Loved. Speaking with the BBC Paige confirmed that the pair are still good friends.
The 22-year-old also appeared on-screen at the age of 14 when she got to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, singing Skinny Love by Birdy. She has since appeared at a number of high-profile gigs including Colours Classical.
Paige will soon be seen onscreen with 11 other islanders who will compete to find their match and win a £50,000 prize. Those who do not find love will be dumped from the villa.
The ITV reality dating show will be presented by Laura Whitmore, after Caroline Flack stepped down from the role after she was charged with assault.
The show will return this Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
