GLOBAL stars will rub shoul­ders along­side top Scot­tish tal­ent at this year’s Whyte & Mackay Glas­gow In­ter­na­tional Com­edy Fes­ti­val, as or­gan­is­ers pre­pare to take over dozens of venues across the city.

This year’s fes­ti­val line-up was re­vealed at a spe­cial launch night at The Stand on Wood­lands Road.

The 18-day fes­ti­val, from March 12-29, fea­tures leg­ends Trevor Noah, Steve Martin and Martin Short at the SSE Hy­dro, as well as per­for­mances from Jimmy Carr, John Shut­tle­worth and Dane Bap­tiste.

Lead­ing Scot­tish names have been signed up, with Janey God­ley, Susie McCabe, Jim Smith and Jerry Sad­owitz all grac­ing the King’s The­atre stage. Other top acts in­clude Rob Florence and Iain Con­nell at the Tramway, Craig Hill, Phil Dif­fer, Fern Brady and Alan Bis­sett at Oran Mor, and Frankie Boyle at the Stand.

Plays, sketches, improv, film and com­edy for kids will also be on of­fer.
