STAR LINE-UP REVEALED FOR SHOWCASE EVENT
GLOBAL stars will rub shoulders alongside top Scottish talent at this year’s Whyte & Mackay Glasgow International Comedy Festival, as organisers prepare to take over dozens of venues across the city.
This year’s festival line-up was revealed at a special launch night at The Stand on Woodlands Road.
The 18-day festival, from March 12-29, features legends Trevor Noah, Steve Martin and Martin Short at the SSE Hydro, as well as performances from Jimmy Carr, John Shuttleworth and Dane Baptiste.
Leading Scottish names have been signed up, with Janey Godley, Susie McCabe, Jim Smith and Jerry Sadowitz all gracing the King’s Theatre stage. Other top acts include Rob Florence and Iain Connell at the Tramway, Craig Hill, Phil Differ, Fern Brady and Alan Bissett at Oran Mor, and Frankie Boyle at the Stand.
Plays, sketches, improv, film and comedy for kids will also be on offer.
