Extending at- home abortions considered
THE Scottish Government is considering whether to continue allowing women to have at- home abortions beyond the coronavirus pandemic.
Women are currently able to take both pills required for an early medical abortion at home, when it is deemed clinically safe for them to do so.
The changes were approved at the end of March.
Public health minister Joe FitzPatrick has now launched a consultation seeking views on whether to make the arrangement permanent.
