Man accused of murder in Easterhous­e

A MAN has appeared in court accused of murder.

Kai Russell, 22, allegedly killed Kamil Charyszyn, 35, in Glasgow’s Easterhous­e on March 21.

Prosecutor­s claim Russell stabbed Charyszyn on the neck with a knife or a similar instrument.

Russell is also accused of having a knife without a reasonable excuse in Coatbridge on the same date. He was remanded in custody pending further examinatio­n.

Russell, who was represente­d by his lawyer Ian Moir, made no plea at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Russell will appear in court again within the next eight days.
