Child ‘racially abused’ on train journey

A CHILD was racially abused on a train travelling from Bridgeton to Dalmuir.

The British Transport Police has said that a ‘racist incident directed towards a child’ took place on Saturday March 20, on a train service travelling from Bridgeton to Dalmuir.

It is believed that the incident took place at around 4pm.

The British Transport Police have now released CCTV images of a man they believed could assist them in their investigation into the incident.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

“He is described as approximately 60 years of age, heavy build, short greyish hair and glasses. He was wearing a blue Adidas hooded top with three white stripes down the sleeves with a black shirt underneath, blue trousers, black trainers and he was carrying a white shopping bag.
