Child ‘racially abused’ on train journey

A CHILD was racially abused on a train travelling from Bridgeton to Dalmuir.

The British Transport Police has said that a ‘racist incident directed towards a child’ took place on Saturday March 20, on a train service travelling from Bridgeton to Dalmuir.

It is believed that the incident took place at around 4pm.

The British Transport Police have now released CCTV images of a man they believed could assist them in their investigat­ion into the incident.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have informatio­n that can assist them with their investigat­ion and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

“He is described as approximat­ely 60 years of age, heavy build, short greyish hair and glasses. He was wearing a blue Adidas hooded top with three white stripes down the sleeves with a black shirt underneath, blue trousers, black trainers and he was carrying a white shopping bag.
