In this is­sue we’re tun­ing in to one of the favourite come­dies from the 1970s cre­ated by that great duo of Jimmy Perry and David Croft. It Ain’t Half Hot Mum was screened on BBC1 from 1974 to 1981, and cen­tred on the hi­lar­i­ous an­tics of the Royal Ar­tillery Con­cert Party in In­dia and Burma dur­ing the Sec­ond World War. Many will re­call the theme tune “Meet the gang, ’ cos the boys are here, the boys to en­ter­tain you”, and some of those “boys” who ap­peared in the pro­gramme.
