A Tall Tale

Evergreen - - Then & Now -

Verses and rhymes have amused children across the generations, even those who are growing up in our technological age. Maureen Hill, who lives in Loddon, Norfolk, wanted to share this little ditty which she discovered many years ago. She tells us it is a favourite with the children in her family.

Mr. Giraffe

Oh, Mr. Giraffe, you make me laugh, You seem to be made all wrong! Your head is so high, Up there in the sky, Your neck is so very long. Your dinner and tea, It seem to me, Have such a long way to go, How do they know The way to your tummy below?

A pack of Colin Carr Notelets will be sent to those readers whose contributions are published in this feature. Please send your snippets & cuttings to: “Scrapbook”, Evergreen, The Lypiatts, Lansdown Road, Cheltenham, Glos., GL50 2JA.
