evo track evening season heats up

Drivers lap it up as Rockingham hosts evo’s second track event of 2018

-

EVO’S SECOND TRACK EVENING OF THE YEAR, held at Rockingham on Friday 22 June, played out under the hot summer sun. A diverse array of cars could be found glinting in the pitlane, ranging from a Ford Escor t RS2000 to a 991 Porsche 911 GT3.

Once the circuit opened, drivers headed out onto the 1.94- mile International Super Spor ts Car Circuit to get some laps under their belt. Many attendees also grabbed the oppor tunity to sample some of the cars brought along by our trackday sea son sponsor, BMW. An M140i, an M240i and an M3 Competition Packa ge were available to be driven on track, with qualified instructors riding along side, while a static display of the new M5 Competition and i8 Roadster completed the BMW showca se.

With two - and- a- half hours of track time, cars filtered freely into and out of the open pitlane, with drivers continuing to test themselves through Rockingham’s trick y, technical infield. Back in the paddock, accounts of on- circuit experiences were traded throughout the session.

The evo team wa s there in force, too, with several of our Fa st Fleet cars present and ready for track action – our Caterham Seven 310R cer tainly saw plenty of use!

You can join us at our nex t track evening at Rockingham on Friday 24 August, where for just £ 127.50 ( which includes an additional driver) you can negotiate the fa st and challenging circuit, meet the evo team and their long- termers, and sample an M- car or two.
